Scouting report
An MIT-trained semiconductor engineer with real silicon credentials, she took over an AMD near collapse in 2014, bet everything on the Zen architecture and a chiplet strategy, and turned it into a company that took server share from Intel and grew its market value more than fiftyfold. AMD’s ROCm stack is open source, the only credible open alternative to CUDA.
Curator’s note
The most complete corporate turnaround in modern hardware, run by someone who could read the layouts.
