Scouting report

Wrote a short article for Electronics magazine in 1965 noting that the number of components on a chip had been doubling on a regular cadence and would keep doing so. Moore’s law was a market observation that turned into a roadmap the semiconductor industry then organised itself around, decade after decade. He was Intel’s CEO from 1975 to 1987, through the period that made the microprocessor the company’s business.
