Co-founded VMware in 1998 and ran it for a decade, shipping the thing everyone had been told was impractical: efficient virtualisation of an x86 architecture never designed for it. The consequence is the modern data centre. Server consolidation, live migration and the economics that made public cloud viable all rest on that work. She later ran Google Cloud.
