Wrote the original business plan for what became AWS and ran it from 2006 until succeeding Bezos in 2021. AWS turned computing into a utility. It also set off the defining licensing fight of the era: Elastic, MongoDB and Redis changed licences over managed services built on their code, and Amazon forked Elasticsearch into OpenSearch, later donated to the Linux Foundation.
