Ran the Network Information Center at SRI, which was the ARPANET’s directory, help desk and registry, publishing the Resource Handbook and maintaining the HOSTS.TXT file that every machine on the network relied on. Her group proposed the domain naming scheme that gave us .com, .edu, .gov, .mil, .net and .org.
Curator’s note
Ran the internet’s address book by hand, and named the neighbourhoods.
