Scouting report
Worked on Unix tooling early, was CTO at Sun during the Java years and CEO of Novell, then ran Google from 2001 to 2011, hired as adult supervision for two founders in their twenties. He built the advertising machine and the management structure that carried the company from a few hundred people to tens of thousands, and presided over the Android and YouTube acquisitions.

Three of the companies on this card list are places he ran or nearly did.
